Flo Rida to Headline 2026 Mississippi State Fair

This year, the annual Mississippi State Fair will run from October 8-18, 2026, at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson. A new local concert series is being added to the many annual state fair attractions this year and will feature live musical performances from local bands across the state. Headlining the state fair this year is A-list hip-hop artist Flo Rida, performing on Thursday, October 15, at 7:00pm in the Coliseum.

This year, the Mississippi State Fair's theme is "Let Freedom Ring!". During the announcement of Flo Rida as this year's headliner, Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson introduced the new three-day $20 Patriot Pass and said the Mississippi State Fair will "celebrate our great nation, pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of our veterans, and provide unforgettable experiences for families from across Mississippi and beyond."

The Mississippi Delta Blues & Heritage Festival Returns for 49th Year

The 49th Annual Mississippi Delta Blues & Heritage Festival is taking place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Washington County Convention Center Fairgrounds in Greenville, Mississippi. Gates open at 10:00am, and the festival begins at 12:00pm.

Founded in 1978, it remains the longest-running blues festival in America. The tradition continues with a lineup of legendary names in Blues, Soul, and R&B, such as "King of the Chitlin' Circuit" Bobby Rush, Eddie Cotton Jr., Eden Brent, Anthony ("Big A") Sherrod, and many more. The main stage and juke house stage with both feature 13 performances, with "The Goddaughter of Soul" Leela James closing out the night.

The city of Greenville is celebrating "Blues Week" all week long leading up to the festival, with community events, live performances, and cultural experiences that capture the history of the blues.

Fiddler Prodigy Amanda Shaw is Coming to Biloxi on September 12

Amanda Shaw is making her way back to the Mississippi Gulf Coast on Saturday, September 12th at 7:00pm at the Ground Zero Blues Club in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Shaw is an American Cajun singer, songwriter, and fiddler prodigy. You might even recognize her from the 2005 Disney Channel movie "Now You See It...". She is classically trained in violin and has been since she was four years old.

The Louisiana Music Hall of Famer recently released a brand-new album titled "Rhythm of my Roots", where she blends country, pop, rock, and funk sounds while engaging her Cajun spirit. Shaw says that this album connects her to her Louisiana roots, but the "message belongs to everyone".

Touring since she was only eight years old, Shaw's high-energy live performances captivate her audiences and have been described as "energetic" and "full of passion".
